Bactericidal ability

Ozone has a strong oxidizing property and is recognized as a broad-spectrum and high-efficiency bactericide in the world. Its oxidizing ability is higher than chlorine. It is 600-3000 times faster than chlorine to sterilize in water, and can kill bacteria within a few seconds. When the ozone concentration in water reaches 0.3-2 ppm, it can kill bacteria within 0.5-1 min. The amount of ozone required to achieve the same sterilization effect (eg 99% killing rate of E. coli) is only 0.0048% of chlorine. For common Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, molds and so on, the killing rate is good when the ozone concentration is kept at 0.3 ppm for 5 minutes.Over 99%.Its sterilization and disinfection effect is almost instantaneous. 

Decomposition time

The half-life of ozone in water is about 20 minutes, and that of air at room temperature and atmospheric pressure is about 10-30 minutes. Ozone is ultimately reduced to oxygen.

Ozone is easy to dissolve in water, and ozone dissolved in water has stronger bactericidal and ability to disinfect, which can reach 3000 times of chlorine gas. Ozone easily breaks down into oxygen.
